Hanley and the Baird

Who We Are

Hanley & the Baird Dreampot CIC is the community wellbeing arm of the wider Hanley & the Baird family, created by Kirsty Baird BEM, and Annette Hanley, ounders of Sing in the City, one of Scotland’s most successful community music organisations.

For 15 years, Sing in the City has shown the power of music to build confidence, connection and belonging. With over 1,000 members, £200k raised for charity and thousands of lives impacted, the culture of kindness, inclusion and joy is deeply established.

Dreampot takes that same spirit and extends it to people who cannot access traditional choirs or community groups.

We  bring connection to people who need it most, older adults, carers, people living with dementia and those experiencing loneliness.

Building wellbeing through music and creativity

We go out into care homes, community venues and local spaces.

The two organisations share:

  • A founder

  • A belief in the power of music

  • A culture of kindness and inclusion

  • A commitment to community impact

But they serve different needs, in different ways, for different stages of life.

Together, they form a complete circle of community music — from early confidence to lifelong

Mission

A Scotland where older adults, carers and people living with dementia can flourish through shared music and creativity, connected, confident and never left behind.
