Volunteers and Care home residents

Volunteer - Remember When Singalongs

'I was a bit nervous about helping out at a care home as I'd not been in one since losing my Mum to Alzheimer's but it was the best time.  It was wonderful seeing the connection and communication through music again.'

'It is so special taking part in these sessions and watching the spark come back into their faces as the music triggers memories.'

Music Sessions

'I joined Kirsty's guitar class as a complete novice. Her patience, fun and easy way to teach had me hooked from the start.  Online and actual meet ups proved we could play some songs together as a group. I would not have picked up a guitar without her commitment.  Kirsty is right, you are never too old to learn.'

'We have been attending the Pensioners Parties for 8 years and there is nothing better than watching our residents faces light up as Kirsty and her team sing familiar songs, play bingo and other games that are easy to participate in.  Not to mention the tea, coffee, cakes and sandwiches.

Whatever is left over, it's all donated to the care homes.'

'I have been to several Kids Parties and each one was absolutely brilliant!  Kirsty engages with all the children and is non stop, high energy music and party fun with a mixture of games and dancing that all the kids love.  The kids will all love Kirsty too.'

Quote from her daughter Gabriella. 'Kirsty is energetic, enthusiastic and gets you STUCK IN'

School Music Class

'Following our amazing Rock Band Experience, Kirsty and her team provided 'Learn to play the Guitar' Sessions. We were blown away by this musical experience!

The sessions enabled everyone in the group to experience playing guitar chords alongside familiar pop songs.  The team were inclusive, engaging and full of fun!  The children performed as a group and were buzzing again with pride and excitement.

We as a school were so grateful to be given this opportunity and the feedback from parents was positive. The kids loved the colourful guitars and a few of them wanted to further their guitar playing.'
