A series of Edinburgh Festival busks raised £767 for Hanley and the Baird Dreampot, helping support free community activities, events and walking football sessions.

The first fundraiser saw the Sing in the City Aw Blacks join Hanley and the Baird for performances at the Ross Bandstand and The Mound, raising £146.

The following weekend, members of Sing in the City Choirs returned for another double busk at the same locations and raised a further £623.

Together, the two weekends brought in £769, all of which went towards supporting the Dreampot’s free community activities and events.

The busks also brought a bit of extra music and energy to Edinburgh during the Festival, with choir members giving their time and voices to help raise money while entertaining people passing through the city.

A huge thank you went to everyone from Sing in the City Choirs, the Aw Blacks, Hanley and the Baird, and to everyone who stopped to listen, donated or showed their support.

Every contribution helped us continue creating opportunities for people to get involved, connect with others and enjoy activities in their community.
