An amazing £1480 was raised during World Cup Week by Sing in the City Choirs and Hanley and the Baird.

Across rehearsals throughout Scotland, choir members got into the spirit of the World Cup while showing their support for the Scotland National Team. There was football, tea, coffee, plenty of chat, baking, dressing up and, most importantly, a huge amount of generosity.

The week was a real team effort. Everyone who baked, donated, dressed up or simply joined in helped make the rehearsals great fun, while the Sing in the City team brought plenty of extra energy to make sure everyone got into the mood.

The money raised was set aside to support projects in the local community, helping Hanley and the Baird Dreampot continue making a difference through activities and opportunities for others.

A huge thank you went to everyone who contributed and helped make the week such a success.

Sometimes it doesn’t take much to make our world a better place — and together, small contributions can add up to something significant.
