Rocking St Giles' in support of RHASS
Updated: Oct 5
St Giles’ Cathedral provided a spectacular setting for a special charity performance in support of RHASS, delivered with the help of the Hanley and Baird band and Sing in the City Aw Blacks.
The performance brought a very different kind of energy to one of Edinburgh’s most historic buildings, with the Hanley and the Baird and the Aw Blacks helping us prove that even St Giles could rock.
It was also a special night because of the people who came along to support the event, including members of Sing in the City Choirs. Seeing so many familiar faces in the audience added to the atmosphere and helped make the evening feel like a real community occasion.
Performing in a building with centuries of history behind it made the night particularly memorable. Generations of people had walked through St Giles, worked there, worshipped there, married there and marked some of life’s biggest moments within its walls. Being able to add our own small chapter to that history was something we were very proud of.
A huge thank you went to the Sing in the City Aw Blacks, everyone from Sing in the City Choirs who came along to support the event, and everyone who helped us provide the charity performance for RHASS.
